This grave is located in Clemons Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lula, GA. The photo was taken June 12, 2001. He was born 1855 and died 1939. The script at the bottom of the stone says: "Gone But Not Forgotten". The pot does not belong atop the stone but was put there for the purposes of getting a clear photograph of the stone.......Kim Ferbrache

This grave is located to the left of her parents in Bellton Baptist Church Cemetery in Lula, GA. This photo was taken June 12, 2001. Directly below her name is the script "Dau of W.M. Gowder". She was born March 27, 1887 and died April 9, 1914. Directly below her dates is the script:

"Weep not she is not dead but sleepeth."

Matilda Gowder

This grave is located at Clemons Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lula, GA. The photo was taken June 12, 2001. The dates are: Born - 1826 Died - February 14, 1899. The are several scripts on this stone but not all are completely legible. Starting from the top and going down, here is what is legible:

"Wife of David W. Gowder, SR."
"She died as she had

lived, praising Jesus."
"Our mother"
"In God's own morn
her ----- will rise
once more ----- -----
----- ----- -----."
"Asleep in Jesus"

There is no mention of the scripts in Sybil's book........Kim Ferbrache

Frederick and Mamie Gowder

This grave is located in Clemons Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lula, GA. The photo was taken June 12, 2001. The flower pots atop the grave actually should be in front of the stone but were moved for the sole purpose of taking the photograph.   Kim Ferbrache

William M. and Caroline Gowder

These graves are in Bellton Baptist Church Cemetery in Lula, GA. William M. Gowder was born July 10, 1846 and died March 22, 1915. The word "Father" is directly below his information. Caroline Gowder was born December 23, 1848 and a death date is not listed. Directly below her name is the script "Wife of W.M. Gowder". The word "Mother" is directly below her information. The following script is across the entire headstone directly above "Father" and "Mother":

"Gone from the sorrow here below, gone home to God"
