This grave is located to the left of her parents in Bellton Baptist Church Cemetery in Lula, GA. This photo was taken June 12, 2001. Directly below her name is the script "Dau of W.M. Gowder". She was born March 27, 1887 and died April 9, 1914. Directly below her dates is the script:

"Weep not she is not dead but sleepeth."

The are several scripts on this stone but not all are completely legible. Starting from the top and going down, here is what is legible:

"Wife of David W. Gowder, SR."
"She died as she had
lived, praising Jesus."
"Our mother"
"In God's own morn
her ----- will rise
once more ----- -----
----- ----- -----."
"Asleep in Jesus"

Frederick and Mamie Gowder

The following script is across the entire headstone directly above "Father" and "Mother":

"Gone from the sorrow here below, gone home to God"
